Joseph E. Zacirka

June 30, 1923 — May 5, 2006

Joseph E. Zacirka, 82, a life-long resident of West Rockhill Township, passed away Monday, June 5 in the Veterans Hospital, Coatesville. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Bush) Zacirka.

Born in West Rockhill Township, he was a son of the late Thomas and Julia (Zapotocsny) Zacirka.

Mr. Zacirka was a US Army veteran having served during World War II. He was the recipient of a Silver Star, Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

He had been self-employed as a machinist most of his life.

He was a member of the Nase-Kraft American Legion Post 255 and a member of the VFW, Forrest Lodge 245, both in Sellersville. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, No. 1622, Quakertown.

Mr. Zacirka is survived by one nephew: Dean S. Zacirka and his wife, Bernadette, West Rockhill Township.

Family and Friends are invited to attend Graveside Services on Thursday morning June 6 at 11:00 AM in St. Andrew's Union Cemetery, Walnut Street, Perkasie.

There will be no calling hours.
