John W, Zacirka, 84, of Sellersville, passed away Monday, August 15 in LifeQuest Nursing Center, Milford Township (Quakertown), after a long illness. He was the husband of Josephine (Kopp) Zacirka. They were married 63 years.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Thomas and Julia Zacirka.
Mr. Zacirka was a US Navy veteran having served in the Pacific Theater during World War II
He had been employed for 46 years as an assembler with the US Gauge Division, Ametek, Inc., Sellersville.
He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Forrest Lodge Post 245, Sellersville.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son: Dean S. Zacirka and his wife, Bernadette, Sellersville; one brother, Joseph Zacirka, Coatesville and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, John Dale Zacirka.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 18 at 10:00 AM in St. Agues Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Thursday morning, from 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM in the church.
Interment will be held in the adjacent parish cemetery
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960.
