David J. Wilson, Sr., 84, a 45 year resident of Sellersville, passed away Tuesday, May 6 in Neshaminy Manor, Warrington Township. He was the husband of the late Genevieve C. (Young) Wilson, who passed away May 1, 1999.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Charles and Theresa (Farmer) Wilson. He was a graduate of West Catholic High School, Philadelphia.
He had been employed for 42 years as a Supervisor of the Electric and Transmission Distribution Department of Philadelphia Electric Company.
He was a longtime member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville, and a life member of the Sellersville Fire Department Fire Police.
Mr. Wilson is survived by two daughters: Joan Calafati and her husband, Phillip; and Jean Corcoran and her husband, Jim, all of Sellersville; three sons: David Wilson, Jr. and his wife, Diane; Don Wilson and his wife, Chris; and Larry Wilson and his wife, Sue, all of Sellersville; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles and Robert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 9 at 10:00 AM in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville.
Interment will be in the adjacent parish cemetery.
There will be no calling hour. Family and friends are also invited to a Remembrance Luncheon immediately following interment at the Sellersville Fire House.
