Pauline (Schnure) Wenhold

October 20, 1925 — January 20, 2007

Pauline Wenhold, 81, of Sellersville, passed away Saturday morning, January 20, in the Lutheran Community at Telford. She was the beloved wife of Hiram B. Wenhold. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 27, 2006.

Born in Quakertown, she was a daughter of the late Douglas H. and Lillian (Scholl) Schnure.

She had been employed as a seamstress with several former area clothing factories, including Waxman Shirt Factory, Quakertown; Wispese and Lewis Girdle Factories, both of Perkasie; and De Loux Sweater Factory, Sellersville. She later worked for Sauter Packaging, Souderton.

She was a long-time member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie, where she had served on the Altar Guild, was a member of the Adult Bible Class, volunteered in the kitchen and helped to deliver flowers to shut-ins.

She was a member of the Hartzell-Crouthamel Post 280 American Legion Auxiliary, Perkasie and the Nase-Kraft Post 255 American Legion Auxiliary, Sellersville.

Pauline enjoyed gardening, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children: Barry L. Wenhold; Cindy L. Wenhold-Dise; Cheryl L. Cassel, and her husband, Ralph W.; and Brian K. Wenhold, all of Sellersville; five grandchildren: Leigh Anne Wenhold, Lansdale; Tami L. Renner, Sellersville; Chad M. Bishop, and his wife, Jennifer, Trumbauersville; Matthew S. Renner, and his wife, Laura, Perkasie; and Jeremy S. Bishop, Sellersville; one great-granddaughter, Victoria J. Wenhold; four step-grandchildren: Ralph R. Cassel; Robert W. Cassel; Alyson Nelson and Jason Nelson; three sisters: Grace Long, Quakertown; Carrie Mest; and Jeanette Kemmerer, Souderton.

Pauline was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly A. Renner; a daughter-in-law, Gayle Radvon, and a son-in-law, Terry Bishop.

Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday morning, January 25, at 11:30 AM in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fifth Street, Perkasie. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Perkasie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 19 South Fifth Street, Perkasie, PA 18944.
