Edward C. "Butch" Wasser, 59, of Jim Thorpe, formerly of Perkasie, passed away Monday evening, November 17, at his mother's residence in Perkasie. He was the beloved husband of Linda L. (Reabold) Wasser. They were married 22 years.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Elizabeth D. (Keller) Wasser, Perkasie and the late Edward R. Wasser. He was a 1962 graduate of Pennridge High School.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Butch had been employed as a custodian for the Upper Bucks County Technical School, Perkasie for the last several years. Previously, he had been employed for 10 years as a CNC operator with Schulmerch Carillons, Sellersville.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons: Scott Birli and his wife, Cindy, of Richlandtown and Joseph Birli and his wife, Shawna, of Media; one daughter: Marlain Wasser, of Sellersville; three grandchildren: Jordan Taylor Edward Wasser, Noah Daniel Wasser and Gabriel Joseph Birli; four sisters: Jeanette Fox, of Lansdale; Elizabeth A. Wasser, of North Wales; Doris Reyes and her husband, Joseph, of Perkasie and Patricia Heidler and her husband, Fred, of Perkasie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 20, at 10:00 AM in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Thursday morning, from 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM in the church.
Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Perkasie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center, American Oncologic Hospital, 7701 Burholme Avenue, Philadelphia 19111.
