Jeanette (Buczko) Sweetser

May 18, 1924 — August 8, 2002

Jeanette B. Sweetser, 78, of Sellersville, passed away Thursday evening, August 8 in her residence after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Arthur A. Sweetser, Jr., MD who died in December 1977.

Born in Mt. Carmel, PA she was the daughter of the late Andrew B. Buczko, MD and the late Ethel (Beynon) Buczko, RN. She moved to Sellersville with her husband in 1950 and has lived there ever since.

A 1945 graduate of Wilson College, Chambersburg, P A, Mrs. Sweetser had been employed in the 1940's as a licensed Medical Technologist with Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. After raising her family, she worked during the 1970's in her husband's medical office in Sellersville until his death in Decemberl977. She later became a legal secretary and notary public for Willard E. Buck, Jr., Esquire, Sellersville. In the 1990's she was also employed as a church secretary for St. Stephen's United Church of Christ, Perkasie.

Mrs. Sweetser was a Methodist by faith. She enjoyed reading and music and was an avid bridge player.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Sweetser Morris, with whom she resided in Sellersville and one son, Craig B. Sweetser and his wife, Alyson B., Newburgh, New York and two grandsons: Kristofer A. Sweetser and Sean A. Sweetser, both of Newburgh, New York.

Family and friends are invited to her memorial service, Thursday, August 15 at 3:00 PM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville.

Interment will be held on Saturday, August 17 in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Mt. Carmel, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Dreams Foundation Recreation Program for Disabled Children, 129 Fletcher Drive North, Newburgh, New York 12550 or Grand View Health Foundation, 700 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville, PA 18960.
