Richard K. Snyder, 65, a life-long resident of Sellersville, passed away suddenly at his residence, early Tuesday morning, July 11.
Born in West Rockhill Township, he was the son of the late John E. and Gertrude (Moore) Snyder.
He had been employed by the former Royal Pants Factory, Perkasie the former Weaver Steel Company, Lansdale, before joining McElhare's Service, Sellersville, where he had worked for over 30 years as a mechanic. He retired in 1999,
Rich was a life-member Mille Sellersville Fire Department where he was a past Assistant Chief and Trustee, as well as a long-time Engineer and T~ Driver. He was a mainstay in the kitchen, helping with bingo, banquets, breakfast and carnivals.
He enjoyed collecting antique clocks and die cast cars and trucks. Rich loved his antique 1927 Model A Ford, but the joys of his life were his dogs.
Rich is survived by his brother, John B. Snyder, Sellersville; two nephews: Jeffery T. Snyder and his wife, Eugenia, Sellersville; John S. Snyder, Erie; one niece; Jennifer Donaldson and her husband, Casey, Erie; 3 grand-nephews, 2 grand-nieces; and his beloved dog, Sadie.
His Funeral Service will be held Friday morning, July 14 at 11 :30 AM in the Sellersville Fire House. 2 North Main Street, Sellersville. Where friends may call from 10:00 AM until 11 :30 AM.
Interment will be held in Sellersville Cemetery.
