Robert E. Shorter

December 2, 1927 — March 7, 2000

Robert E. Shorter, 72, of Perkasie, passed away Tuesday, March 7 in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. He was the husband of the late Catherine "Cass" C. (Schuima) Shorter, who died March 17, 1999.

Born in Philadelphia, he has resided in Perkasie since 1973. Prior to that he lived in Souderton for 10 years.

Mr. Shorter spent over 48 years as a drafting designer for several engineering firms in the area before retiring in 1995.

Mr. Shorter was a veteran of the US Army.

He was a member of St. Agnes .Catholic Church, Sellersville. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Forrest Lodge 245, Sellersville, the American Legion, Souderton and the Great Swamp Fish and Game Club, Quakertown.

Mr. Shorter enjoyed fishing and watching baseball and golf on television.

He is survived by: one (1) son: Robert E. Shorter, Jr., Perkasie and one (1) sister: Dorothy, wife of Edward McGovern, Langhorne; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a Sister, Shirley Gillen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 10, at 10:00 AM in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960.

Interment in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA.

Friends and relatives may call from 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM, Friday morning in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grand View Hospice, 700 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville., PA 18960.
