Mary M. Schoeller, 94, of Perkasie, passed away Friday, November 21 in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. She was the wife of the late Karl F. Schoeller, Sr. who died in 1985.
Born in Bedminster, she was a daughter of the late George B. and Eva (Beer) Moyer. She had spent most of her life in Perkasie, with the exception of 10 years of full retirement living in Florida with her husband.
Mrs. Schoeller was a graduate of Taylor Business School, Philadelphia where she had won awards for excellence as a speed typist. Along with her late husband, she helped to establish what is now known as Schoeller's, Inc., a longtime refrigeration, air conditioning and appliance company in Perkasie.
She was a life-long, active member of St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie where she had served for many years as financial secretary. She was a member and past president of the church's Women's Missionary Society, the pianist for the Adult (Augsburg) Sunday School Class and had led the Bible Study Group and Prayer Circle. She had established and coordinated the church's Prayer Chain. She was also a charter member and past president of the former Soroptimist Club of Perkasie.
Mrs. Schoeller loved music and playing the piano. She enjoyed traveling and writing, having published her autobiography and family history. A devoted mother and grandmother, she loved spending time with her beloved great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons: Karl F. Schoeller, Jr. and his wife, Ruth J. of Souderton and John V. Schoeller and his wife, Patricia H. of Lake Harmony, PA (Monroe County); 7 grandchildren: Jeffrey L. Schoeller and his wife, Patricia A. of Perkasie; Wendy E. Beck and her husband, Glenn E. of Slatington; Richard J. Schoeller and his wife, Lisa of Needham, MA; Vivian G. Figliuolo and her husband, Sabino of Norristown; Timothy K. Schoeller and his wife, Brenda of Perkasie; Christina R. Giesler and her husband, The Rev. J. Christian of Bethlehem; and Kathleen C. Sterner and her husband, Alan F. of Quakertown; and 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Norris, Charles, Russell and Paul and three sisters: Laura B. Waltman, Bertha B. Fretz and Matilda B. Keeler.
Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday morning, November 26 at 11 :00 AM in St. Andrew's Ev. Lutheran Church, Dill Avenue and Chestnut Street, Perkasie. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday evening, November 25 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM and on Wednesday morning, from 10:00 AM until 11 :00 AM. Interment will be in St. Andrew's Union Cemetery, Perkasie.
