Marie Schneider, 89, of Sellersville, passed away Saturday morning, February 26 in Gwynedd Square Nursing Center, Upper Gwynedd Township.
Born in Perkasie, she was a daughter of the late Clarence K. and Josephine (Slotter) Steeley.
Marie had been employed for over 20 years as an assembler with US Gauge Division, AMETEK, Sellersville, before retiring in 1981. She had also been a waitress for 20years at the former Benetz Inn, Quakertown. She had been a volunteer at Grand View Hospital for over 10 years.
She was a Lutheran, by faith.
Marie enjoyed playing pinochle and loved feeding the squirrels and other animals in her neighborhood.
She is survived by two sons: Terry R. Weiss and his wife, Barbara. Lansdale; and Keith D. Weiss and his wife, Margaret, Perkasie; two grandsons: Michael Weiss and his wife, Christie, Pipersville, and Matthew Weiss, Perkasie; one great-grandson, Taylor Weiss, Green Lane; one sister, Eleanor Wurstle and her husband, William, Perkasie, and her companion, Alfred Frantz, Sellersville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Steeley.
Her Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 5 at 11:30 AM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Saturday morning from 11:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
Interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Perkasie.
