Nellma E. "Sweetie Pie" Schimpf, formerly of Warminster and Roslyn, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 19, in the Rockhill Mennonite Community, West Rockhill Township. She was the beloved wife of William Schimpf, Rockhill Mennonite Community, West Rockhill Township. They were married 16 years. She was also the wife of the late George W. Metz and the late Gerald Frank. She was 90.
Born in the Brewerytown section of Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary E. (Brown) Arnholt. She went to a one room schoolhouse in Neshaminy, Warrington Township (with eight grades in one room) and later attended Hatboro High School. She also took some night classes at Abington High School.
Sweetie Pie had been employed for 19 years as a cafeteria dietician with the Abington School District. She previously worked ten years in the Billing and Time Study Department of Standard Pressed Steel.
She was a charter member of Faith Community Church, Roslyn and had also attended Faith Baptist Church, Sellersville.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Schimpf is survived by a daughter, Nellma E. Ratcliffe, and her husband, Sebastian, of Rice Lake, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
In addition to her two late husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carole Anne Fiedler; a brother, Louis Arnholt, and a sister, Louise Bye.
Her funeral service will be held Friday, April 22, at 12:00 Noon, in Faith Baptist Church, 700 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Friday morning from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at the church.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville.
