Richard William Scholl, Jr., a lifelong resident of Sellersville, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2026. He was 71.
He was the beloved husband of Gail Scholl.
Born in Sellersville, Richard was a son of the late Richard Scholl, Sr. and Lois Scholl.
Richard proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he dedicated his life to his family, friends, community, and the many passions that brought him joy.
A talented woodworker who loved working with his hands, Richard also had a lifelong passion for cars and motorcycles. Additionally, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching Eagles football, and following NASCAR races. His greatest joy was in treasured times spent with his family, especially, his grandchildren.
Richard was known for his warm personality, generous heart, and gift for conversation. He never met a stranger, making friends wherever he went. His kindness, humor, and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his two sons: Brian Scholl and Jeff Scholl (Karen); his three grandchildren: Lincoln Scholl, Jordyn Scholl, and Camilla Scholl; his brother, Dean Scholl; and many other loving family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Scholl.
A Celebration of Life for Richard will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Deep Creek Pavilion in Green Lane Park, 2115 Snyder Rd., Green Lane, PA 18054.
