Katharina T. (Schmidt) Pettinger
April 19, 1917 — January 4, 2004
Katharina T. Pettinger, 86, of Sellersville, formerly of Virginia and New Orleans, passed away Sunday, January 4 in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. She was the wife of the late SFC Eugene C. Pettinger, US Army, who died in 1991.
Born in Hoptendorf, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Hans and Barbara Schmidt.
She came to the United States in 1955 and has lived in Sellersville for the last 2-1/2 years.
She was a homemaker most of her life. She was also of the Catholic faith.
Mrs. Pettinger is survived by two sons: Heinz Tischbier and his wife, Christine of Boston, MA and Eugene C. Pettinger, Jr. of Sellersville, with whom she resided; two sisters: Anna Tsacoyeanes and Lina Krieser, both of Jamaica Plains, MA.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA, next to her husband.
