Lewis Perz, 92, of Chalfont, formerly of Sellersville, passed away Saturday, June 9 in the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, South Lebanon Township, PA. He was the husband of Louise M. (Parker) Perz. They were married 44 years.
Born in Hermanie, Westmoreland County, PA he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Cerrar) Perz. He and his wife resided in Chalfont for over 38 years.
Mr. Perz was a World War II veteran serving in the US Army during the Normandy Invasion. He was the recipient of two Purple Heart Medals.
He had been employed as a mechanic for many years at the Crockett Machine Shop, Warrington.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one (1) step-son: Lewis M. Parker and his wife, Nancy, Shillington, PA; one (1) sister: Mary Perz, Norristown; three (3) Step-granddaughters and one (1) step-grandson; also, five (5) (2) sisters, Ann Schanley and Pauline Ziegler, step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two (2) sisters, Ann Schanley and Pauline Ziegler.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service, Thursday, June 14, at 11:00 AM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville. A Calling Hour will precede the service on Thursday beginning at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home.
Interment in New Hanover Lutheran Church Cemetery, New Hanover Township, (Montgomery County).
