Clarence Ott, Sr., 87, a 40 year resident of Perkasie, passed away Sunday, December 28, in his home. He was the husband of Annamarie (Schmidt) Ott. They were married 52 years.
Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, he was a son of the late Michael L. and Emilie (Steinhauer) Ott. Mr. Ott moved to Pennsylvania at the age of two and has lived in the Pennridge area ever since.
He had been employed for over 30 years as a truck driver with Shelly & Fenstermacher, Perkasie, before retiring in 1975. When he had first joined the company, he had hauled coal, then in later years, lumber.
Mr. Ott enjoyed driving automobiles and working on them, too.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Rosemarie Ott, of Perkasie; Claire Frawley and her husband, Charles J., of North Wales; and Dolores J. Ott of Perkasie; one son: Clarence Ott, Jr. of Perkasie; six grandchildren: Tiffany and Filicia Klotz; Pamela, Robert, Abigail and Jillian Ott. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Caitlin Ott.
His funeral service will be held Friday, January 2, at 11:00 AM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Friday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Interment will be in Sellersville Cemetery.
