Donald H. Orner passed away Saturday, November 22, 2003, at Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. He was 77.
Mr. Orner was the husband of Kathleen B. (Nichols) Orner for 13 years.
Born in Bridgeport; he was a son of the late Joseph H. and Minnie E. (Schnipp) Orner.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Orner, of Perkasie, formerly of Norristown, had been employed for 35 years as a supervisor with the former Bell Telephone in the Fort Washington and Allentown offices, retiring in 1980.
He attended Calvary Church, of Souderton.
An avid Eagles fan, he had played quarterback for Temple University and later had refereed basketball games for Villanova University. He also enjoyed playing golf.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Donald H. Jr,. and his wife, Pam, of Columbia, PA; four daughters, Donna Birnbaum and her husband, Marc, of Abington; Tammy Everitt and her husband, Bob, of Kennett Square; Nadine Miller and her husband, David, of Glenside; Monique Brubaker, of Elkins Park; and six grandsons, Michael, Kohl, Trey, Brendan, Corey, and Samuel.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Willis, who was killed during World War II; and his first wife, Lillian (Bullack) Orner, who died in 1989.

His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 N. Main St., Sellersville. Friends and family may call from 12 p.m. Wednesday until time of the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Philadelphia Memorial Park in Frazer.
