Edith M. Ohl, a 58-year resident of Sellersville, 82, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 26 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Curtis D. Ohl for 62 years.
Born in Hacklebernie, P A, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Emily (Moore) Reabold.
She had been employed as a secretary for several area offices, including St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Sellersville and the Pearl S. Buck Foundation, Perkasie. During World War II, she worked for the Glenn L. Martin Aircraft Company, Baltimore, Maryland.
Edith had served as a Brownie and Girl Scout Troop Leader. She had also sung in the former North Perm A Cappella Choir.
She was a member of Zwingli United Church of Christ, Souderton, where she had volunteered with church mailings and was a member of the Still Going Strong Group. Edith had enjoyed knitting, gardening and spending time with her beloved family. Edith was also a devoted dog lover.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Diane J. Moyer, and her husband, James, Souderton; a son, Duane L. Ohl, Somerset; one grandson, Travis S. Moyer, and his wife, Denise; and one great-grandson, Dylan J. Moyer, all of Quakertown; one brother, Edward Reabold, Jim Thorpe; three sisters: Adelaide Snyder, Manchester, MD; Kathryn Semanoff, Lehighton; and Marjorie Reichard, McMinville, Oregon. She was preceded in death by four brothers: Walter, Culver, William Righter and Willard.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 13 at 12:00 PM in Zwingli United Church of Christ, 350 Wile Avenue, Souderton, PA 18964. Family and friends may call at the church, Saturday, from 11:00 AM until time of service.
Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
