Thomas A. Jr. Napier

November 16, 1942 — March 11, 2006

Thomas A. Napier, Jr., 63, of Perkasie, passed away Saturday, March II, in Abington Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Theresa M. (Inzaina) Napier. They were married 39 years.

Born in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Thomas A., Sr. and Patricia (Gloekler) Napier.

Tom had served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and was a graduate of Delaware Valley College. He had been employed for over 29 years as a virologist with Merck, West Point.

Tom was a life member of the American Motorcycle Association and a member of the Ward Foundation of Wild Fowl Carving, Salisbury, MD and the Loyal Order of Moose. Westover, MD.

He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. Tom loved the Eastern Shore of Maryland, which inspired him in his carving of wooden decoys. He and his wife had also owned and operated a bed and breakfast and sold antiques on the Eastern Shore.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children: Melissa N. Salamon and her husband, Mark, Coopersburg; Thomas A. Napier, III, Glassboro, NJ, and Amanda E. Napier, Collegeville; three granddaughters: Hannah, Katie and Kyra; one brother, Ned Timothy and his wife, Coleen, Pittsburgh; his cousin, Sandra H. Pesavento and her husband, Joseph, Pittsburgh; and his beloved dog, Buck.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 16, at 11:00 AM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Wednesday evening at the funeral home, from 5:30 PM until 8:30 PM, and again on Thursday morning, from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Perkasie.
