George W. Moyer

February 22, 1916 — May 5, 2004

George W. Moyer, 88, a 40 year resident of West Rockhill Township, formerly of Hatfield and Perkasie, passed away Wednesday, May 5 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Pauline (Pany) Moyer. They were married 58 years.

Born in Perkasie, he was the son of the late Linford K. and Mamie (Gross) Moyer. He graduated from Sell-Perk High School.

Mr. Moyer was a US Army veteran having served in the European and African Theatres during World War II.

He had been employed for over 36 years as an inspector with the US Gauge Division, Ametek, Inc., Sellersville before retiring in 1978.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Perkasie. He was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Forrest Lodge, Post 245; the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1539, Sellersville and the Perkasie Owls.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sisters: Marion Hammerschmidt of Hatfield; Margaret Ford and her husband, John of Bethlehem and Irene Clemmer of Elroy, P A; He was preceded in death by three brothers: Rudolph, Ralph and Earl.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grand View Hospice, 700 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville, PA 18960.
