Lowell G. Moore

March 1, 1942 — October 26, 2004

Lowell G. Moore, 62, a 32-year resident of Quakertown, formerly of Lansdale, passed away after a short illness in Doylestown Hospital, Tuesday, October 26. He was the beloved husband of Linda J. (Powers) Moore. They were married 37 years.

Born in West Rockhill Township, he was a son of the late Arthur Gilbert and Bertha (Greiser) Moore.

Mr. Moore was a U.S. Army veteran, having served as a cook. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

He was employed for over 38 years with the U.S. Gauge Division, Ametek, Inc., Sellersville. He had worked many positions with the U.S. Gauge: painter, inspector, machinist and union steward, before retiring in 2001.

Mr. Moore enjoyed making stained-glass lamps. He also loved his Corvettes and his motorcycles.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Christopher L. Moore, of Nazareth, and Trevor S. Moore and his wife, Shayne, of Pottstown; two sisters: Geraldine Kramer and her husband, Robert, of Lansdale; Robin Spiess and her husband, Dennis, of Quakertown; two brothers: Daniel Moore and his wife, Michelle, of Lansdale, and Douglas Moore and his wife, Debra, of Colmar; his parents-in-law, Ralph and Geraldine Powers, of Sellersville; his brother-in-law, Leslie Powers and his wife, Dawn, of New Britain; and many nieces and nephews.

His Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, November 3, at 11:00 AM in St. Andrew's Ev. Lutheran Church, Dill Avenue and Chestnut Street, Perkasie. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning, from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Interment will be private.
