Francisco Miglore

Francisco Migliore of Devon, PA, beloved husband of Maria Teresa Migliore, died peacefully at his home. He was 81 years of age. He had been stricken ill in early August.

Born in Paraguay and raised in Sicily, he moved to the United States in 1960. He taught Mathematics at Villanova University for many years. Upon retiring, he formed a translations business with his wife and enjoyed that work. An avid reader and writer, Dr. Migliore felt comfortable in 3 languages.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Strafford, P A. He enjoyed an active retirement; in addition to the translations, he loved spending time with his family, traveling, woodworking and gardening.

Besides his wife, Dr. Migliore is survived by a son, Juan Carlos Migliore and his wife Michelle, and their two daughters, Emily and Claire of South Bend, Indiana; and a daughter, Teresa Alburger and her husband David, and their three daughters, Karen, Katherine and Kimberly Pepper of Perkasie, P A, and many other family members on 3 continents.

Dr. Migliore was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved life, loved teaching as well as learning, had an amazing sense of humor and a twinkle in his eyes that will live on in his family's memories.

A viewing will be held at The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 W. Lancaster Ave., Wayne, PA, on Friday evening, November 28,2003 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, with words of remembrance by family and friends at 8:00, and on Saturday, November 29, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 29 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 35 Old Eagle School Rd., Strafford, PA followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery at Gulph & Matson Ford Rds., West Conshohocken, P A.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dr. Migliore's memory and honor to a university, college or educational institution of your choice.
