Richard W. Marquette, 78, of Sellersville, died Sunday, Dec. 3, a Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. He was the husband of Helen J. (Flynn) Marquette. They were married 59 years last April.
He worked for the former American Meter, Philadelphia. Previously, he was a tool die maker with Ametek, Inc., U.S. Gauge Division, Sellersville, for more than 15 years and worked for Budd Company, Philadelphia.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Paul H. and Laura Border) Marquette.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 120th infantry Regiment of the 30th infantry Division in the European theatre and earning two Bronze stars. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Forrest Lodge 245, Sellersville.
Survivors: Wife; son, Richard W.Jr. of Macungie; daughter, Catherine L. of Coopersburg; sisters, Doris Nolen of Feasterville, Bucks County, Mildred Markey of Levittown, Bucks County, Joan Meara of Roslyn, Montgomery County, Myrna Gora of Warminster, Bucks County; four grand daughters.
Services: Private, at the conveniece of the family.
