Doris K. (Grimes) Leister

July 11, 1928 — June 22, 2005

Doris K. Leister, 76, of West Rockhill Township, formerly of Sellersville, passed away Wednesday, June 22 in the Rockhill Mennonite Community. She was the beloved wife of Arthur C. Leister, who died in 1999.

Born in Lansdale, she was the daughter of the late George and Isabel (Curry) Grimes. She had lived in Sellersville for 41 years before moving into the Rockhill Community 2 years ago.

Doris had been employed for over 20 years as a dental instruments calibrator with Porter Instruments, Hatfield. She had previously been a waitress for many years with the former R & S Diner, Hatfield.

She had attended St. John's Lutheran Church, Ridge Valley. Doris enjoyed re-finishing furniture, crocheting, sewing and reading. She was a very caring person who loved to help and take care of others. She loved her beloved dogs: Buckwheat and Casey. The most important part of her life was her loving family.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Jane M. Ahlum, Sellersville; two sons: Terry R. Weachter and his wife, Lynn, West Rockhill Township, and Michael J. Weachter, Sellersville; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Kenneth Ahlum, who died in 1999.

Her Memorial Service will be held Thursday morning, June 30 at 10:30 AM in the Chapel of Rockhill Mennonite Community, 3250 State Road, Sellersville, PA 18960.

Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rockhill Mennonite Community at the above address.
