William B. Knapp

June 15, 1945 — January 21, 2005

William B. Knapp, 59, of Perkasie, passed away Friday morning, January 21 in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital.

Born in Margaretville, NY, he was a son of the late Albert J., Sf. and Mary (Deighton) Knapp. He had lived in Perkasie for the last 25 years.

He had been employed for over 35 years at Delbar Products, Perkasie before retiring in 2001.

Bill had been a member of the Ridge and Valley Rod and Gun Club, Coopersburg and a former member of the Perkasie Owls. He enjoyed working on cars and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Most of all, he loved being with his grandchildren.

He is survived by one son, Timothy A. Knapp and his wife, Colleen, Hilltown; one daughter, Tammy L. Tate and her boyfriend, Wesley Webber, Emmaus; three grandchildren: Ryan, Kevin and Lauren Knapp, all of Hilltown; one brother: Albert Knapp, Jr. ("Sonny") and his wife, Edna, Phoenix, AZ; one sister: Mary Lou Goodrich and her husband, Larry, Oregon and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother: Gertrude, Maggie, Dawn and Mahlon ("Pudge").

His memorial service will be held Friday morning, January 28 at 11:00 AM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Friday morning at the funeral home, from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital, 1021 Park Avenue, Quakertown, PA 18951 or to the Perkasie Community Ambulance, PO Box 195, Perkasie, PA 18944.
