Leo J. Killian

April 11, 1918 — September 26, 2004

Leo J. Killian, 86, of Telford, formerly of Colmar, passed away Sunday, September 26 at his home under Grand View Hospice care. He was the beloved husband of Stella P. (Malahowski) Killian. They would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on October 31.

Born in Plymouth (Luzerne County), he was a son of the late Theodore and Josephine (Zaremba) Killian.

Mr. Killian was a US Army veteran having served in the European Theatre during World War II and was a recipient of a Bronze Star.

He had been employed as a carpenter and had served as Building Inspector for Hatfield in the 1960's. He had also worked at the Hatfield Township Water Treatment Plant, retiring in 1983.

Mr. Killian was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville and a member of the Lansdale American Legion.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by: two grandchildren: Heather Detwiler of Reseda, CA and Shane Detwiler of Charleston, SC; one brother: Theodore Killian of Mountaintop (Luzerne County) and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Lee Detwiler, who died in 2001; and four brothers and a sister: John, Joseph, Frank, Walter and Julia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 30 at 11:00 AM in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Thursday morning, from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM in the church.

Interment will be in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grand View Hospice, 700 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville, PA 18960.
