Raymond B. Ketterer

May 22, 1920 — March 6, 2005

Raymond B. Ketterer, 84, of Perkasie, passed away Sunday morning, March 6, in Manor Care Nursing Center, Montgomeryville. He was the husband of Kathryn (Royer) Ketterer. They were married 53 years.

Born in Harrow, PA, he was a son of the late Harry and Mabel (Bleam) Ketterer.

Mr. Ketterer was a US Army veteran, having served in World War II.

He had been employed for over 20 years as a mechanic with the former Atlantic States Gas (now known as Suburban Propane), Montgomeryville. He later worked as a mechanic for 10 years with Lehigh Valley Dairies, Lansdale, before retiring in 1985.

He was a longtime member of St. Andrew's Evangelical, Lutheran Church, Perkasie, where he had served as an usher.

He was also a member of Loyal Order of Moose, # 1539, Sellersville and the National Rifle Association.

Mr. Ketterer enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, he loved spending time with his loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Jacquelyn Gebhard, Perkasie; Robin Wojcik and her husband, Frank, Riegelsville; Linda Overholt and her husband, Michael, Sellersville; two sons: Dennis Ketterer, Perkasie; Barry Ketterer and his wife, Deanna, Sellersville; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five brothers: George Ketterer and his wife, Mildred, Hagersville; Stanley Ketterer and his wife, Margaret, Bedminster; Arthur Ketterer, Perkasie; Alfred Ketterer and his wife, Beverly, Texas; Walter Ketterer and his wife, Marion, Sellersville; one sister, Hilda Keller, and her husband, Lloyd, Souderton; one sister-in-law, Marietta Ketterer, Perkasie; and his beloved cat, "Kitty Bob. "

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael; his son-in-law, Theodore Gebhard; five brothers: Floyd, Lloyd, Norman, Ralph, and Clarence, who was killed during WW II; and one sister: Ethel Lines.

His Funeral Service will be held Thursday morning, March 1, at 11 :00 AM in St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dill Avenue and Chestnut Street, Perkasie. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday morning, from 9:30 AM until time of service.

Interment will be in St. Andrew's Union Cemetery, Perkasie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Building & Renovation Fund of St. Andrew's Ev. Lutheran Church, PO Box 257, Perkasie, PA.
