Ida M. Keller

Ida M. Keller, 75, of East Rockhill Township, passed away Wednesday, April 5 in Doylestown Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Charles F., Sr. and Elizabeth (Insall) Keller. She had lived in East Rockhill since 1945 before becoming a resident of Neshaminy Manor last year.

A graduate of Kutztown University, Ida had been employed for 26 ½ years as a 6th grade teacher at Deibler Elementary School, East Rockhill Township, in the Pennridge School District, before retiring in 1992. Prior to that, she had worked in the shipping department of the US Gauge, Sellersville and the former Sun-Lite Shoppes, Souderton.

Ida was a popular pitcher and scorekeeper with the former Glenettes and Allentown Patriots softball teams. She loved all sports and had enjoyed roller-skating.

She was a longtime member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville.

Ida is survived by: two sisters: Elizabeth Wasser and Mary Cain, both of East Rockhill Township; two brothers: Harry Keller and his wife, Lillian of Quakertown; Joseph G. Keller and his wife, Nancy of Harrisburg; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Keller, and a sister, Rose M. Cassel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 10 at 10:30 AM in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Monday morning, from 9:00 AM until 10:20 AM in the church.

Interment will be in the adjacent parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church Roof Fund, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960.
