Lois E. (Theiling) Jones

Lois E. Jones, 77, of Souderton, formerly of Roslyn, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 12 in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. She was the wife of the late Frank Jones, Sr. who died May 30, 1987.

Born in Lincoln, Rhode Island she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Ann (MacDonald) Theilig. She had lived in Souderton for the past 12 years. Previously, she and her husband lived in Roslyn for over 27 years.

Mrs. Jones had been employed for 23 years with Operator Services and Clerical Staff for Bell of Pennsylvania, Ft. Washington, retiring in 1985. She had recently worked as a Salesperson with the Half Note Card and Gift Shop, Souderton.

She was a Sergeant in the WACS during World War II serving as a nurse. She had taken care of German prisoners of War while stationed in the South.

Mrs. Jones was an active member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville and a member of the Order of the Carmelites. She was devoted to her family and church.

She is survived by one son, Frank Jones, Jr. and his wife, Susan, Exeter, PA and one daughter, Deborah A. Wagner and her husband, Scott, Montgomeryville; One brother, Irving Theilig, Philadelphia and one sister, Shirley Yeager, and her husband, William, Ardsley, PA; and five (5) grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis MacNamara and one brother, Frederick Theilig.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 18 at 11:00 AM in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday morning from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM.

Interment will be in the adjacent parish cemetery.
