Robert B. Heller

February 28, 1936 — April 1, 2004

Robert B. Heller, 68, a 21-year resident of Harleysville, formerly of Souderton and Sellersville, passed away Thursday, April 1, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. He was the husband of Shirley E. (Kline) Heller. They were married 35 years.

Born in Souderton, he was the son of the late Henry N. and Minnie (Strouse) Heller.

He had been employed for 10 years doing electrical wiring for the former Signs of Safety, Harleysville, before retiring. Previously, he had worked for Century Kitchens, Colmar. He had also worked as a plumber for his father and later for BKG, of Telford.

Mr. Heller had served as a Sergeant First Class for many years with the Army National Guard of Pennsylvania. He had also served many years with the Perseverance Volunteer Fire Company #1, Souderton.

He was of the Lutheran faith.

Mr. Heller had enjoyed hunting, gardening, reading, and history.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Jennifer L. Reigel and her husband, Edward D., of Douglassville; and one son, Robert S. Heller, of Harleysville; three grandchildren: Rochelle, Andrew and Christa Reigel, all of Douglassville; two sisters, Phylis Ludwig; and Marilyn Detwiler and her husband, Herbert, all of Telford; and one brother, Donald Heller and his wife, Lillian,of Quakertown.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Henry Heller, and a sister, Evelyn Biedler.

His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 6, at 11:00 AM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning, from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Interment will be in Sellersville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
