Wendie S. (Gross) Harper

Wendie Suzanne Harper, 45, of Sellersville, formerly of Levittown, went home to be with the Lord late Saturday evening, December 19, 2009, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. She was the beloved wife of Philip Harper, to whom she was married 27 years.

Born in Bristol, she was a daughter of Kaye (Luther) Gross, Confluence, PA, and the late Thomas Gross. She was a 1982 graduate of Faith Baptist Christian Academy, Fairless Hills.

She had been employed most recently as a real estate agent by Keller-Williams, Doylestown. She had also been employed in her husband’s business, Harper’s Seamless Gutters, Sellersville, and as an inside sales representative at Benjamin Obdyke, Inc., Warminster.

Mrs. Harper attended Calvary Church, Hilltown Township.

She volunteered at Deibler Elementary School, Perkasie.

A talented photographer, Wendie also loved spending time with family in all types of activities. She also delighted in becoming involved with her children's sports teams and her family’s lives. Much loved by her neighbors and extensive group of friends, she was a positive and loving soul.

In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Harper is survived by her three children: Jessica N. Harper, of Philadelphia; David S. Harper; and Tyler Harper, both of Sellersville; three sisters: Vikki, Mary Anne, and Anita; a brother, Thomas Gross, Jr.; her grandmother, Margaret Luther, of Confluence, PA; and her in-laws: Frank and Laura (Weith) Harper, of Levittown.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at 11:00 AM at Calvary Church, 820 Route 113, Souderton, PA 18964. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. Harper’s name may be made to the Harper Children Scholarship Fund, c/o National Penn Bank, 96 South Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960.
