JoAnn Hanshew, 65, of Quakertown, formerly of Telford, was called home to Heaven, Wednesday, May 24, at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Harry Hanshew for 13 years.
Born in Sellersville on July 4, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Elwood and Elizabeth (Godshall) Landis.
She was a Lutheran.
JoAnn was a member of the Auxiliary of the Nase-Kraft American Legion Post 255 and a member of the VFW, Forrest Lodge 245, both in Sellersville.
She had enjoyed gardening and spending time with her beloved family. JoAnn was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children: Robin Ziegler, and her husband, Floyd, Souderton; Rory Godshall and his wife, Cathy, Hatfield; Daniel Ventrola and his wife, Debbie, Perkasie; Shawn Ventrola, Souderton; two step-sons: Michael Hanshew and his wife, Sandy, Red Hill; Christopher Hanshew and his wife, Rochelle, Souderton; five grandchildren: Justin, Joe, JB, Zackary and Anthony; four step granddaughters: Ebony, Christina, Amanda, and Deneen; one sister, Delores Kratz and her husband, William, Telford; one nephew, Rodney Kratz and his wife, Wendy, Perkasie; her mother-in-law, Hortense Rodriguez, Tampa, FL; a sister-in-law, Ginny Yoder, Souderton; a brother-in-law, Dave Hanshew and his wife, Susan, Philadelphia; and her faithful dog, "Pepe."
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 27, at 1:00 PM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Saturday from 12:00 Noon until time of service.
