Robert S. Frick, Jr.
August 20, 1918 — September 19, 2003
Robert S. Frick, Jr., 85, of Telford, formerly of Sellersville, passed away Friday, September 19, in the Lutheran Community at Telford. He was the husband of Stella (Rosenberger) Frick. They were married 60 years this past June.
Born in West Rockhill Township, he was the son of the late Robert S., Sr. and Florence M. (Landis) Frick. He was a graduate of the former Sell-Perk High School and had spent his entire life in Sellersville before recently moving to the Lutheran Community at Telford.
Mr. Frick was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the South Pacific during World War II.
He had been employed for 37 years as an underwriter with Harleysville Insurance Company, Harleysville before retiring in 1983. In his early years he had been employed by the former Sellersville Poultry Item, and the U.S. Gauge, both of Sellersville and Bendix Aviation, Philadelphia.
Mr. Frick was a life member of St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sellersville, where had served many years on Church Council and was a past council president. He was also an usher and had played on the church softball team.
He had served twelve years on Sellersville Borough Council and was also a past president. He later served as a member of the Borough Zoning Hearing Board.
A 32nd degree Mason, he was a member of the Quakertown Masonic Lodge # 512 F & AM and the Lehigh Consistory. He was also a member of the VFW Forrest Lodge, Sellersville and the Perkasie Owls.
Mr. Frick enjoyed playing baseball, softball, tennis and golf. He had assisted with Boy Scouts and Little League when his sons were young.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons: Robert S. Frick, III and his wife, Karen, of West Bloomfield, Michigan; Alan S. Frick and his wife, Joan, of Sellersville and Michael S. Frick and his wife, Kathleen, of Hummelstown, PA; six grandchildren: Heather, Kelly, Courtney, Samantha, Steven and Sarah; one brother, Richard L. Frick and his wife, Jane, of Telford.
His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday morning, September 24, at 11 :00 AM in St. Michael's Ev. Lutheran Church, 25 East Church Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM.
Interment will be in Sellersville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Ev. Lutheran Church, 25 East Church Street, Sellersville, PA 18960.
