Leona M. (Nase) Freed

February 23, 1912 — March 24, 2004

Leona M. Freed, 92 , of Quakertown, formerly of Perkasie, passed away Wednesday, March 24, in Quakertown Center, Genesis Eldercare, Quakertown. She was the wife of the late George W. Freed, who died in 1972.

Born in Sellersville, she was a daughter (and one of nineteen children) of the late Herman H. and Laura S. (Reichard) Nase.

Mrs. Freed had been employed for many years as a sewing machine operator with the former H & F Dress Factory, Perkasie before retiring in 1971. Previously, she had worked for the former Penn Pants Factory, Sellersville.

She was a lifelong member of St. Michael's Ev. Lutheran Church, Sellersville, and a member of the Women of the Moose, Sellersville.

Mrs. Freed is survived by a daughter, Shirley A. Lehman and her husband, Richard N. Lobron, of Perkasie; three sisters: Marian Brown, of Pleasant Hill, CA; Helen Fluck, of Telford; and Evelyn Delong, of Red Hill; one brother,Ralph Nase and his wife, Janet, of Dearborn, Michigan; two granddaughters: Karen Dries, of Collegeville, and Kathleen Wolcott, of Carson City, Nevada; and two great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held, Monday, March 29, at 11:00 AM in St. Michael's Ev. Lutheran Church, 25 East Church Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. Family and friends may call Monday morning at the church from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Interment will be in Sellersville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Ev. Lutheran Church at the address above.
