Harry F. Fosbenner

May 27, 1927 — June 4, 2000

Harry F. Fosbenner, 73, of Sellersville, formerly of Perkasie, passed away after a short illness Sunday morning, June 4, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. He was the husband of Mary Alice (Steeley) Fosbenner. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary last March.

Born in Spinnerstown, PA he was the son of the late William Franklin and Laura Y. (Daub) Fosbenner. He was a 1945 graduate of the Milton S. Hershey Industrial School, Hershey.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Mr. Fosbenner and his wife had lived in Perkasie for several years before moving to Sellersville over 40 years ago.

Mr. Fosbenner had been employed as a machinist with the U.S. Gauge Division, Ametek, Inc., Sellersville for over 35 years before retiring in 1992. He had also worked several years as a butcher with the former C.D. Moyer Co., Silverdale and had served as a Justice of the Peace in Sellersville during the early 1960's.

He was a 50 year member of St. Andrew's Ev. Lutheran Church, Perkasie, where he had been an usher and formerly served as Treasurer of both the Sunday School and the Adult Bible Class.

Mr. Fosbenner was a former member of the Perkasie Lions Club. He had also played with the Redbirds, a former local baseball team.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Linda M. Beach, and her husband, James R., Sellersville; three sons: Neil H. Fosbenner, and his wife, MaryAnn, Perkasie; Mark F. Fosbenner, Sellersville; and J. Christopher Fosbenner, and his wife, Cindy, Quakertown; six grandchildren: Jeremy, Tammy, Steph, Travis, Joshua and Adam; and one sister, Helen Long, Sellersville.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Detweiler and Alma Wenger.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service, Wednesday, June 7, at 11:00 AM in St. Andrew's Ev. Lutheran Church, Dill Avenue and Chestnut Street, Perkasie. Friends may call at the church, Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM until 10:50 AM.

Interment will be in St. Andrew's Union Cemetery, Perkasie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew's Ev. Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 257, Perkasie, PA 18944.
