Eleanor Peitzman

Eleanor Peitzman, beloved wife, mother, grandmom, sister, and aunt, passed peacefully into life with her Lord, on Friday, December 5, 2025, joining her loving husband of 34 years, M. "Buck" Peitzman, who preceded her in death in April 2012. She was 79.

Born in Philadelphia, Eleanor later made her home in Telford, Pennsylvania.

Over the years, she had been employed at Strawbridge & Clothier, Philadelphia Electric, and St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Hilltown, where she served faithfully as volunteer coordinator, Sunday School teacher, and café organizer. She graciously offered her time to many committees and ministries throughout the years.

Eleanor loved raising her son and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, and traveling to historic places. She had a deep appreciation for history, enjoyed learning about national parks, and rarely missed an episode of Jeopardy!

Known for her gift of gab, she made friends everywhere she went and brought warmth, laughter, and connection into the lives of many. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Eleanor is survived by her son, Matt, his wife, Elizabeth, and her step-children: Connie Lordan, Carol and Dan Whaland, Cindy Carreras, Cathy Cowdery, and Beth Mikolayek; her 11 grandchildren: Zoe and Tristan Peitzman, Lindsay Peitzman Yates, Carrie Lordan Herron, Liz Finley, Dan Whaland, Connor Whaland, Kiersten Kwortnik, Jason Carreras, Cory Cowdery, and Aimee Cowdery Linde; and eleven great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. She is also survived by her three siblings: Helen Schmidt, Edward Griesel, and Elaine Griesel.

A memorial service for Eleanor will be announced at a later date.
