William P. Edinger, Sr., 66, of Blandon, formerly a 32-year resident of Perkasie, passed away on Friday evening, December 31, in the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He was the beloved husband of Joanne (Luck) Edinger. They were married 32 years.
Born in Mahanoy City, he was a son of the late David William and Margaret (Burke) Edinger.
Mr. Edinger was a U.S. Army veteran.
He had worked as a cabinetmaker most of his life. Later in life, he expanded his skills to include different varieties of woodworking. He specialized in intarsia and a multitude of other crafts that became a perfect fit for his artistic nature.
Bill loved the outdoors and fishing. He was also an avid Eagles fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Patty Pastorino and her husband, Stan; Tracy Hummel and her husband, Dan, all of Half Moon Bay, CA; Joanne Reinert and her husband, Craig, Mertztown, PA; two sons: Bill Edinger and his wife, Bobbie, Dublin, and Mark Edinger and his wife, Michelle, Perkasie; seven grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Barry, and her husband, Wayne, Bordentown, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held Saturday, January 8, at 11:00 AM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Saturday morning at the funeral home, from 9:30 AM until 11 :00 AM.
Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn.
