Robert Day, 75, of Telford, formerly of Sellersville and Souderton, passed away Sunday morning, July 9, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township.
Born in Sellersville, he was a son of the late Alfred and Mary (Cressman) Day.
Mr. Day was a graduate of Sellersville-Perkasie High School and of Muhlenberg College, Allentown.
He was employed for many years as a machinist in the Philadelphia area. He spent the majority of his life In Sellersville before moving to Souderton. He relocated to the Lutheran Community at Telford several years ago.
He was a lifelong member of St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sellersville, where he had sung in the choir and taught Sunday School.
Mr. Day had been a former member of the Zion Hill Choral Society and Pennridge Cluster Choir. He was also a member of the former Sellersville Sea Scouts.
Mr. Day loved classical and sacred choral music and enjoyed attending concerts. He was also an avid bridge player.
He is survived by several nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Day Wagner, who died in 1997 and a brother, Edward Day, who died in 1947.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service, Tuesday, July 18, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Lutheran Community at Telford, 235 North Washington Street, Telford, PA.
Interment will be private in Sellersville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Ev. Lutheran Church, 25 East Church Street, Sellersville, PA 18960.
