Sandra Lynn Damm, 53, a 25 year resident of Perkasie, passed away Saturday, November 15, in Doylestown Hospital. She was the wife of Edward James Damm. They were married 34 years.
Born in Lansdale, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Elizabeth A. (Gawthrop) Mansfield.
Sandra was self-employed for 25 years as a day care provider.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hilltown. She also was a volunteer with the Friends of the Handicapped.
Sandra was a champion for disabled persons and was well-known by state and local politicians for her efforts on behalf of the handicapped community.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons: Martin R. Damm and his wife, Karen, and Edward J. Damm, III and his wife, Melissa, all of Quakertown; two daughters: Denise M. Damm and Constance A. Damm, all of Perkasie; two brothers: Larry Mansfield, Lansdale and Robert B. Mansfield and his wife, Tammy, Quakertown; and one sister, Elizabeth Cluster, and her husband, Mark, of Glen Burnie, Maryland.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Route 152 and Broad Street, Hilltown, PA 18927.
