Evelyn M. Crouthamel, 81, formerly of Hilltown Township, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Wednesday, December 1, in St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Paul W. Crouthamel. They were married 60 ½ years.
Born in Quakertown, she was a daughter of the late Jessiah and Eva (Moyer) Rummel.
Mrs. Crouthamel was a homemaker most of her life.
She was a member of St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sellersville.
While she loved music and crocheting, her family was the joy of her life.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons: James L. Crouthamel and his wife, Geraldine, Sellersville; Philip D. Crouthamel, Wyalusing (Bradford County), PA; Kerry W. Crouthamel and his wife, Terri, Bethlehem; five daughters: Eleanor L. Procht and her husband, Ronald, Quakertown; Mary Lou Meyers and her husband, William, Elba, Alabama; Kathryn E. Stubbs, and her husband, Ronald, Lehighton: Susan E. Ottinger and her husband, James, Douglasville; Lou Ann Massey and her husband, Richard, Coopersburg; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters: Ralph Fischer, Clifford Rummel, Stanley Rummel, Lottie Weikel and Pauline Rummel.
Her Funeral Service will be held Monday morning, December 6, at 11 :00 AM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Monday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Interment will be in St. Andrew's Union Cemetery, Perkasie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Ev. Lutheran Church, 25 East Church Street, Sellersville, PA 18960.
