Virginia L. "Ginny" Collett
April 24, 1952 — January 17, 2002
Virginia L. "Ginny" Collett, 49, of Perkasie, passed away after a brave battle with cancer on Thursday, January 17, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township.
Born in Yonkers, New York, she was the daughter of Lois (Olson) Collett, Piscataway, New Jersey and the late Robert Collett. She had lived in Perkasie for the last 20 years.
Ginny had been a flight attendant with Continental Airlines for many years. She had also been employed with several local companies performing secretarial work.
She had attended the University of Tampa and Middlesex County College, New Jersey.
Ginny was an active volunteer and participant with the American Cancer Society and other cancer awareness programs.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons: Adam Jacoby, Quakertown and Michael Jacoby, Perkasie; and one brother, Robert Collett, Jr. and his wife, Jessica, Castro Valley, California.
Family and friends are invited to her funeral service on Monday, January 21, at 1:00 PM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, January 20.
Interment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery, Wilkes Barre.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, Hi-Point Professional Building, 700 Horizon Circle, Suite 201, Chalfont, PA 18914.
