Daniel Coll

Daniel ColI, 88, a lifelong resident of Sellersville, passed away Sunday, March 9, in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital, Quakertown.
Born in Sellersville, he was the son of the late Sallie (Weikel) and Bernard ColI.
Mr. Coll was a 1932 graduate of Sell-Perk High School, where he had served as class president.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was the recipient of five Bronze Stars during the New Guinea and Philippines campaigns.
He had been employed for 32 years in Production Management and Time Studies with the U.S. Gauge Division, Ametek, Inc., Sellersville, before retiring in 1981.
Mr. Coll was a life member of St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sellersville, where had served as an usher.
He was a member of the Sellersville Fire Department for over 69 years, where had served in many capacities, including past president of the Relief Association. He will be always remembered as "the man at the Candy Wheel" during the Sellersville Fire Department Carnivals.
He was also a 50 year member of the Nase-Kraft American Legion Post 245, Sellersville and a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge # 1539, Sellersville. He had also served on the Advisory Board of the Pennridge Senior Center
Mr. Coll enjoyed photography, gardening, local sports, tennis, travel, going to band concerts, and shopping.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters: Flora ColI, Mary Slotter, Lucy Fellman and Margaret Viola Kasnel; and two brothers: John CoIl and Philip Coll; and one niece: Laura Fellman.
His Funeral Service will be held Thursday morning, March 13, at 11 :00 AM in the Chapel of St. Michael's Ev. Lutheran Church, 25 East Church Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM.
Interment will be in Sellersville Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sellersville Fire Department, P.O. Box 315, Sellersville, PA 18960 or St. Michael's Ev. Lutheran Church, 25 East Church Street, Sellersville, PA 18960.
