Edwin P. Clark, Jr., 66, a 41-year resident of Sellersville, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 3, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. He was the husband of Joanne M. (Brown) Clark. They were married 43 years.
Born in West Rockhill Township, he was the son of the late Edwin P. Clark, Sr. and Rhoda (Rickert) Clark, Sellersville.
Ed had been employed as a machinist for over 25 years with Pennfield Precision, Sellersville before retiring in 1990. He had previously worked for the former United Knitting Machine, Lansdale.
He was a 34-year member of First United Methodist Church, Perkasie, where he had served on the Financial Committee and was a trustee and counter. He was also the church liaison and Board Director with the Haven of Hope Mission in Philadelphia.
He had served 12 years as a Sellersville Councilman and was a member of the Borough's Planning Commission. He was also a volunteer at Grand View Hospital and a member of the former Pennridge Jaycees.
Ed enjoyed fishing, tinkering with engines, and playing the piano. He loved his own grandchildren and was a surrogate grandfather to the neighborhood kids.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three children: Kevin Clark and his wife, Colleen, Quakertown; Susan Y. Randall and her husband, Eric, Pittsburgh; and Paul Clark and his wife, Laura, Hatboro; four brothers: James Clark; Richard Clark and his wife, Diane, all of Sellersville; Gerald Clark and his wife, Barbara, Wisconsin; the Rev. Donald Clark and his wife, Cynthia, Jonestown, PA; and six grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Clark, who died in 1987.
His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 6, at 10:30 AM in First United Methodist Church, 501 Market Street, Perkasie, PA 18944. Family and friends may call from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM, Friday evening, August 5 at the church.
Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the above church.
