Stanley J. "Stas" Ciesielka, 60, a resident of Sellersville for over 50 years, passed away suddenly after being stricken in his home Thursday morning, November 4. He was the beloved husband of Sally A. (Fillman) Ciesielka. They were married two years.
Born in Chester, he was the son of the late John and Sophie (Psonak) Ciesielka.
Stas was a U.S. Marines Corps veteran, having served as a sergeant in the Vietnam War. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
He was employed for the last 14 years with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, assigned to SCI Graterford, where he served as a warehouse manager. Previously, he drove truck for a Sellersville beer distributor.
Stas was a Mason and a member of Warren Lodege 310, Free and Accepted Masons, Collegeville.
He enjoyed the outdoors,carpentry, painting, gardening, and raising vegetables.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Kristi Elwin and her husband, Chris, of Kalaheo, Hawaii; Sarah Rumke, of Bethlehem; Lorene Burruano, of Sellersville; three grandchildren: Brandon, Tyler, and Ryan, all of Kalaheo; a sister, Christine McClone, of Babylon, New York; and three nephews: Thomas McClone and kevin McClone, both of Oregon, and Patrick McClone, of California.
A memorial service will be held Sunday afternoon, November 28, at 2:00 PM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Horne, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either Grand View Hospital Medic 151, 700 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville, PA 18960 or St. Luke's Hospital Emergency and Transport Services, 124-126 South Penn Street, Quakertown, PA 18951
