Clarice V. Christman, 81, of Sellersville, formerly of Perkasie, passed away Wednesday evening, May 31, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. She was the wife of Roy M. Christman, who died in 1973.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Herbert John Thomas and Clarice (Ratcliffe) Hurt.
She was employed as a group leader for approximately 50 years with Narco Avionics, Fort Washington, before retiring in 2003.
She was a longtime member of St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie, where she had sung in the choir.
Clarice was a life member of the Perkasie Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of To Live Again (TLA), Perkasie.
She enjoyed traveling, music, and the theater. Most of all, she loved to be with her loving family.
Clarice was a kind and loving person, a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who always put herself last in her care and concern for others.
She is survived by two sons: Mark A. Christman and his wife, Francine, Quakertown; David R. Christman, Coopersburg; two sisters: Elise A. Peacock, and her husband, Parker W., Green Lane and Eva Louise Weller, and her husband, Udo, Alburtis; and five grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Herbert Frederick Hurt and Edmund Robert Hurt.
Her Funeral Service will be held Monday morning, June 5, at 11:00 AM in St. Andrew's Evangelical. Lutheran Church, Dill Avenue and Chestnut Street, Perkasie. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday morning, from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Interment will be in St. Andrew's Union Cemetery, Perkasie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Building & Renovation Fund of St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, PO Box 257, Perkasie, PA 18944.
