Sophie P. (Zimba) Borowski
August 28, 1916 — March 12, 2003
Sophie P. Borowski, 86, of Quakertown Center, Genesis Eldercare, Quakertown, formerly of Sellersville, passed away Wednesday, March 12. She was the wife of the late Carl W. Borowski ,who died in 1975.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Agnes Zimba.
She had been employed as a seamstress for many years with the former Penn Pants Factory, Sellersville; the former Royal Pants Factory and the former Beidler's Factory, both of Perkasie.
She was a longtime member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville, and a member of the Pennridge Senior Center.
Mrs. Borowski enjoyed crafts, sewing, dancing and had been a member of a walking club.
She is survived by two sons: Gerald C. Borowski and his wife, Barbara, of East Greenville; Andrew W. Borowski and his wife, Elizabeth Johnson-Borowski ,of North Wales; and five grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Edward, Walter and Stanley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 18, at 10:00 AM in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Tuesday morning, March 18 from 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM in the church.
Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Sellersville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Seeing Eye, Inc., PO Box 375, Morristown, NJ 07963-0375.
