Dr. William D. Boesenhofer
October 29, 1942 — July 4, 2006
Dr. William D. Boesenhofer, 63, of Center Valley, passed away suddenly Tuesday, July 4, in Gibson Township, Susquehanna County.
Born in West Rockhill Township, he was the son of the late William O. Boesenhofer and the late Eleanor A. (Trumbore) Boesenhofer Musselman.
He was a 1960 graduate of Pennridge High School and a graduate of Upsala College, East Orange, New Jersey. He received his doctorate from Lehigh University.
Dr. Boesenhofer had been a clinical psychologist with Allentown State Hospital before retiring a few years ago. He had also formerly had a private practice for several years in Emmaus and had worked as a special education teacher in Reading.
He enjoyed traveling, golf, and camping.
Dr. Boesenhofer is survived by a sister, Martha A. Los, and her husband, Edward N., of Perkasie; a niece, Rebecca M. Lebold and her husband, Andrew, of Rutherford, New Jersey; a nephew, David E. Los, of Perkasie; a grandniece, Eleanor Lebold; and several cousins.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 10, in St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dill Avenue and Chestnut Street, Perkasie. Family and friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Monday.
Interment will follow in St. Andrew's Union Cemetery, Perkasie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Building and Renovation Fund of St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 257, Perkasie, PA 18944.
