Arlene Hartman, of Telford, formerly a long-time resident of Sellersville, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in the Lutheran Community at Telford. She was 87.
She was the devoted wife of the late Glenn Hartman, Sr. for 65 years until his passing in 2023.
A daughter of the late Arthur and Ella Mae (Myers) Strouse, Arlene attended Sell-Perk High School.
Over the years, Mrs. Hartman had been employed at the Lutz Pants Factory and the former Emil’s Diner, both of Sellersville. She had also worked as a consultant for both Mary Kay & Avon. She retired as a cashier from Clemens Markets in 1997.
An active, faithful member of St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sellersville for more than 60 years, Arlene had sung in the church choir, volunteered with the Altar Guild, and served as president of WELCA for 25 years.
She was a member of the Buck- Mont Organ Club and North Penn Homemakers.
An avid gardener, Arlene also loved her cats and enjoyed antiquing, traveling, watching the Phillies, stamp & first day cover collecting, square dancing, scrapbooking, socializing with people, and taking pictures.
Mrs. Hartman is survived by her daughter, Barbara A. Nemecek, and her husband, James; a sister, Margie Derstine; several nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Hartman, Jr., in 1996.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m.-10:55 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, in St. Michael’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 25 E. Church St., Sellersville, PA 18960. Her funeral service will follow at 11 am. There will be a livestream for those unable to attend in person.
Interment will follow in Sellersville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Arlene's name may be made to St. Michael’s Lutheran Church at the address above.
